Game crashes/Can't change settings

[Unhandled]

1) The first time the game worked fine till I closed out (where it crashed).
2) The second time I went to play the game it would not load.
3) I reloaded my graphics drivers. Third time, the game would still not load.
4) I renamed my saved files folder. Fourth time, the game loads but crashes on exit.
5) Fifth time, game loads after a very long wait. Crashes when I turn on Vertical Sync and save the settings in the game.

Every time I try to turn on V-Synce or change my gamma the game is crashing. Is there a way to modify these settings via a config file?
