Solved: 8 Years, 1 Month, 3 Weeks ago Problem running Penumbra Overture on Steam :(

I have bought today Penumbra Overture on Steam for 9.99 €. Then I've download and installed the game but, when I start it, it crashes after the "Frictional Games" logo, I have an ATI Radeon HD 4800 graphic card. What can I do to solve this problem? Sad

Download the newest driver available from ati.com, then uninstall your current driver, reboot the computer and install the new driver and reboot. Then it should work.

take the hpl.log from My Documents/Penumbra Overture/Episode1/ and post it here.

Re-install the game and that should fix it. Looks like you tried to add an italian translation and when doing so something was probably broken in the files. Or you have had the game before when it supported Italian, if so remove the whole Penumbra folder from My Documents to have a clean install.
