Scariest Crap In You Pants Moments

The scariest moment ever, must've been when exiting the storage. I accidentally looked away from the screen for a split second when approaching the exit, and as I turned my head back, I just heard that long, horrific moan and saw a grunt sprinting towards me. I screamed like a little kid and flipped my chair over backwards, and very nearly knocked my entire computer over.
One thing that scared me as well, was when entering the entrance hall (no monsters there, I knew that from seeing a video), but it showed me how to run. I didn't really want to do anything that required me to run at that point...

I got the same feeling in the wine cellar when it told me to extinguish my lantern and hide and duck if an enemy was nearby.

It told me in the wine cellar when I played. I don't see how you're going to argue with something I experienced first hand and you didn't. The only hint I ever got in the refinery was "your sanity is dangerously low..."etc

It's just unlikely because the refinery is the first place you encounter real enemies that can hazard you.

So far I've made it into the sewers. Since I blocked the wheel from spinning and made my way further,the scary mummy-thingie is always on my butt. EVERY TIME I see the guy it's a scary moment. Frictional has "scare the piss out of you" down to a SCIENCE!
They'll get my money for every PC game they do from now on.

The message is said in the wine cellar, in front of the door left of the blocked one. If you walk to the left when you enter that room (not the blocked one), you will be able to see a monster standing in the light. I don't know if it's a hallucination or not, I never walked up and asked
