Lost In a Nightmare (Work in progress Alpha phase)

Hi all Smile This is my first custom history and its called Lost In a Nightmare.

The history of the game will be of two brothers that wanted to investigate a castle in Argentina and then they get lost inside this enormous and old building. One of the two brothers called Mike wanted to play Josh a little joke, so, he got away slowly from him and trying to find another way in the castle to catch and scare Josh ahead, he get lost too. Now the two are separated, and the daylight its getting off. . . and you (Josh) start to hear strange sounds and voices, making Josh ask himself if Mike is OK. . . then you lose almost all your faith when you get into a very big chamber that have 3 doors and you have to find your brother and make your way back.



LET THE NIGHTMARE BEGINS!!!!

So this is it guys ^.^ I have already done the big chamber with the 3 doors and Ill leave the custom history here to download. Its only that map and all the doors are closed to prevent your Amnesia crashing.

The project its very recently started and I need very much help in the scripting part. and someone to translate from the spanish to the english cuz ,y english its not very good as you guys can see XD.

Please give me some feedback about the main map and I need some tutorials for scripting or someone to do it. THANK YOU FOR READING. Big Grin

Thanks to Someone else for bug reporting and giving ideas for the map, i really appreciate it.

Change log:
map: lost_in_a_nightmare_00 (the main chamber)
1.Removed several numbers of torch's to increase fps and better looking. (Thanks Someone else)
2.Removed some billboards and the colors of the remaining ones has changed to:
R: 0.15[INSTEAD OF]R:0.700
G: 0.2[INSTEAD OF]G:1
B: 0.2[INSTEAD OF]B:1 (Thanks Someone else)
3.Added a "Box light" for better illumination and good looking. (Thanks Someone else)
4.Added a "Point light" in the middle of the map for better illumination and good looking. (Thanks Someone else)
5.The chandelier is not more stretched, and now looks like a real one. (Thanks Someone else)
6.Fixed one door that crash the game, now its closed to prevent that until the beta map for that door its ready. (Thanks Someone else)

Doesn't work.

I spawn in a room with too many lights, and the door doesn't load the next level.

The story is pretty neat.

The map however has a few problems.

  1. The chandelier is stretched making it look wrong.
  2. There are simply too many torches.
    At least halve the number.
  3. The billboards are too bright.
    My recommendation would be to set every billboards color.
    Try this:
    R: 0.15
    G: 0.2
    B: 0.2
    Also try to rotate them more randomly.
  4. The pitch black areas look strange with all the lights in the room.
    You should place a box light to cover the whole room, and maybe also a point light in the middle of the room.
  5. Also one of the doors crashed my game Tongue.

Other than that I am looking forward to this story.

And for the translation thingy:
I don't speak spanish. Maybe someone else here do, but if not you could always Google Translate it and then fix the obvious errors.

Support the developer.

Try to increase the radius of the point light to something like 16-20.

Support the developer.
