Game closes after the short intro/message from Frictional Games

I installed the full version of Amnesia: Dark Descent. It installed fine. And when I clicked on the icon to have it run (AmnesiaTheDarkDescent.desktop), it loaded just fine.
I didn't get any sound though, but everything else ran just fine. But after the messages from Frictional Games, abotu headphones and dark room, the game crashes and I am taken back to the desktop.

Let me know what sort of info you need to know, what konsole codes, etc. and I'll post them up for you.

For now, I think it's an Intel graphic card, Mandriva 2009.1 (powerpack edition).

Intel graphics cards are not supported.. Only ATI and nvidia cards. Unfortunately the intel cards don't provide the necessary graphics features in their drivers.

(just to be sure) could you post the hpl.log file that is located in ~/.frictionalgames/Amnesa/Main/hpl.log.

Are you sure there is such a folder? I know its a hidden folder, and I can view hidden folders, but this I can't find. Been at home, my user id, the amnesia folder, and no frictionalgames folder, or even a frictional folder.
