Custom Story Introduction

I was wondering if there was a way to import your own images into a custom story and use them as a splash. I want to make an introduction similar to Penumbra, showing stills with subtitles and a voice over.

So pretty much a script that will:
  • Lock the Player's view
  • Disable the Menu and Journal
  • Start on a black map, or faded to black
  • Splashes appear and change between timers
  • Narration\Sound is played with subtitles

Is this possible, maybe use an overlay screen affect with a custom image?

yes it is, BUT you will have to have amnesia's load screen when changing levels unless you make your own, which has to be a full conversion mod, which isn't pretty at the moment

RE: Custom Story Introduction

You could just make a couple of walls with a custom texture and teleport the player between them.

*edit*
I just tried it out and it looks pretty good in-game. I made a custom texture with a loading screen image.
Spoiler below!

Nope. You can have your own download screen's - without total conversion -with the exception of the first one.(It must be always the default one, unless you make total conversion.)
