I was looking forward to seeing this in 120Hz after getting my new monitor, but the game seems to be capped to 60 fps. Is there anything I can do to get round this or is it tied into the engine?

Why would you do that? Everything above 60 fps is unnoticeable to the human mind. :p

Also, I'm not expert, but you probably have VSync on. And since 60 is nicely half of 120Hz, that should work out fine. Smile

Human mind can see upwards of much more than 60 - but some notice it more than others. I can tell a mile off and it's oh so beautiful!

I tried disabling vsync and even though the monitor reports 1920 x 1080 @ 120hz both vsync on and off limits at 60.

Go to "C:\Users\##User##\Documents\Amnesia\Main" (should be this for windows 7), Open the file "main_settings.cfg" with notepad, Find this:
<Engine LimitFPS="true" and change it to
<Engine LimitFPS="false"

Now the game won't be limited to 60 fps. but it may overheat your PC because of the huge framerate on the menus, I think.. So, after doing that, turn on vsync and the game should limit the framerate to 120fps.
