Try Darkness Within.

But some environments are similar to Amnesia and the atmosphere is threatening too.
The Witcher is an other kind of game, but there is no other horror game like Penumbra and then I have to go to an other genre with same elements.

And The Witcher has not more common with Fable as with Penumbra.

It has a lot in common with Fable, I have played all three games and so I know. When I say Fable, I mean Fable The Lost Chapters (Fable 1 for PC). Penumbra is modern, horror-like, puzzle-like etc... Well....it's different. Anyway...

Tanshaydar is right , you should try both of these games.

Darkness Within: In Pursuit of Loath Nolder
Darkness Within 2: The Dark Lineage

both are psychological horror Adventure games based on the work of H.P. Lovecraft.

the first game is point and click but the second is in first person

I tryed Darkness Within, but it has a very amateur moderately gameplay.
Some atmospheric elements are eerie, but the controlling is user-unfriendly.
No really physic puzzles, only click & use.

The games looks very good, but that's all.

That's first game. There is a second game, a sequel.
Well, I'm not gonna waste my time.

Googolplex your right about the gameplay and controls but for the rest of the part the game is good if you like adventure horror games , and there is indeed no game like penumbra burkemelvin77
