Most memorable sound
One of the largest aspects of Amnesia is the sound effects. The sound of the brute in the choir is absoutely terrifying to me. What's the most memorable sound that you got out of this game?

The "gulping" the lantern makes when it finally gets fed some more oil. Smile

Piano music in the (archives?) - I heard it twice, once from the ballroom, and then again from the side lounge with the second piano before cave-in. I thought something was following me, and could swear I saw a creature walk past the doorway and down the passage just before the cave-in.

The sound of using a tinderbox.

The water sounds. I probably sat in the fountain in the back hall for a good 5-10 minutes just splashing around in the water.

That drum noise and the gasp when you take a few steps into the Cellar Archives. It's actually more memorable to me than the screechy noise you hear when you've been spotted.

That, and the fade-in scream when you read about the victims.
