The devs should patch that to say "The lid on my gas can is rusted shut" because even on gamefaqs I read several people having troubles with the section. I did too. My first time there i was smacking the machine all over w/ my hammer and pickaxe. I even tossed a dynamite on top (if that can't take care of rust, nothing can). Then I realized I was just interpretting the message wrong, lol.
