Yes he is real I dont know why people think he is a ghost,but he has disabled triggers and as you said its impossible to get near him.

Yes he is real I dont know why people think he is a ghost,but he has disabled triggers and as you said its impossible to get near him.

It's a misconception that is created by the fact that almost all the monsters you run into during the beginning of the game aren't real
