HPL2 Editor Black Screen

My current problem is that when I open the Level Editor, it is just a black box that does nothing and can only be closed by ending the process through task manager. I have updated my Java to the latest version.

I did a re-install of everything, and I used your LevelEditor.cfg again in my HPL2 folder, but it still isn't creating the new MainEditorSettings.cfg for me.

the Map Viewer works fine, so I don't know whats going on!

Try mine, you can find it attached. Copy it to C:\Users\--YOUR-USER-NAME--\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Amnesia - The Dark Descent\redist (or whatever folder Amnesia is in) overwriting the previous one. If the previous one doesn't exist then just put the file there.

Still nothing. Thanks for everything you're trying though. I really think it is something to do with this new driver update, because it was working fine as far as I know when I tried it a month or so ago, before the update.

so why doesn't it still work when you install the previous driver? It shouldn't have to do with the driver. Do you remember what version was that driver? Maybe you can try installing the old one. Forget about the main game for now. Install the previous driver and see if the editor is working. That way we will know if it is the drivers.

I installed the previous driver. Results are exactly as expected:

Editor works, Amnesia doesn't.

EDIT: I think it definitely is a driver problem, as the settings are the same and the editor STARTED UP, which is alot more than it is doing now. Though why has a driver update made 1 thing not work. As I said, the map viewer is working fine, so why not the level editor?

Ok great, we now know the problem for sure. This is really weird. What drivers makes the editor work but not Amnesia? The one that makes Amnesia work is the latest, I know that. What driver do you have now?

My driver is called Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver.

I'm currently using the most up to date which is version 15.​22.​1.​64.​2361
The previous driver is version 15.​21.​13.​64.​2342

When I tested the previous driver, Amnesia had the usual black screen, and the editor loaded to the point where the interface was visible, and I could use the drop-down menus at the top to quit, which I'll assume is working (at least more so than it is now!)

After the level editor black screen appears attach me here the file LevelEditor.log found under Documents\HLP2
