Amnesia Isn't Working, any help?

I bought Amnesia: the Dark Descent on Steam the other day and it doesn't work. I have all of the requirements steam says you need:

PC System Requirements
OS: Windows XP/Vista/7
Processor: 1.5Ghz - Low budget CPUs such as Celeron or Duron needs to be at about twice the CPU speed
Memory: 1 GB RAM
Hard Drive: TBD
Graphics: Radeon 9600/GeForceFX - Integrated graphics and very low budget cards might not work.



I have:

OS: Windows XP SP3
Processor: AMD Athlon[tm] 64 processor 2.21 GHz
Memory: 1 GB RAM
Hard Drive: 77 GB of Free space/ 90 GB total (after game was installed)
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForceFX 6100

I also have all the graphics and resolution as low as possible, but its still not working, all it does is go to a black screen after I click "Start new game"

Any help?

The log doesn't show anything unusual, what seems to be the problem? Either way, make sure you have the latest video drivers installed:

I updated my drivers yesterday, it still doesn't work

Whenever I start the game (lowest settings possible) and click "start new game" it just goes to a black screen. I was able to get the first cutscene once.

1) Download Driver Sweeper and install it. Do not run it yet.
2) Uninstall the AMD drivers and all of their components.
3) Now run Driver Sweeper. Select NVIDIA-Chipset, NVIDIA-Display, NVIDIA-PhysX & AMD-Display and remove whatever it finds.
4) Reboot your system and then download this again(is it the latest driver for your card):

5) During installation select Clean Install and proceed.
6) After installation reboot your system. Try launching the game again.

Also the game requires 2GB of ram so maybe the 1GB cannot even run the game. It might be this and not the graphics card.
