Fantastic mod, me and my friend loved it. Hunter of Shadows' review was only focusing on negative points, I think it completely lacked the better points of the game. The atmosphere started to build up slowly (unlike Hunter of Shadows stated) and the bodies contributed more creepiness too. The doors were sometimes giving me trouble (bugs, bugs, bugs) but the game in general was extremely enjoyable if you dig games that creep you. I loved the small room with the portrait in it: later it would turn red with the portrait twisted into malevolent figure, I also loved the creepy corpse sitting on the chair. The ending music was really good!

Looking forward to part two.

I found a bug from that part when the monster chases you down the stairs and there is unlocked door leading to nowhere (i got dropped Big Grin

).
Nice level design, good scares and i liked the story line very much. Loved that custom story!!!! Smile

This custom story is still one of my favourites. The thing that makes it so good is that it feels like there is constant tension; the pacing is excellent; and the jump scares are minimal (important).

Thank you for this, and I can't wait to play chapter two.

yes this was also one of my favorites, my only problem is it only relies on scares to make it good. and don't get me wrong, those are absolutely amazing, but i think since so much time was spent on that, that other aspects like mapping and story were lacking. but all in all this was a great story Smile

hope chapter 2 is even better!

I love this mod but I have to admit that the ending is extremely dull (in my opinion). The best part was definitely after you wake up in the dark house surrounded only by candles. The corpse sitting on the chair and the room with the painting were extremely creepy and well done.

I played this custom story and beat it. It's very cool and some great scares. Very fun id have to say.
