Enabling decals with script

Is there any way to enable/disable decals with script, so that you can make them appear/disappear during the level? I want to make a trail of blood that appears, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to do that. Sad

Go to "Entities", then "decals", and then use one of those decals which can be used to be set active or inactive. They only show up when they're located on a surface, so they can't hover in the middle of the editor. Tongue

You'll also have to keep the decals a tiny bit off the ground so they aren't ontop of each other, which causes the texture of the blood decal to flash. I don't think you'll be able to use any of the other decals to be set active or not though. :/

Hmm... sorry for the double post but, how would I go about making new custom decals (or at lest re-skinning the current decals)? I can't seem to figure it out...
