Master of Magic does the trick for me. It's a turn based strategy game from '94 set in a medieval fantasy world. It is filled with variety, and it never gets old. Every new game is unique, since it is randomly generated. You play a powerful wizard who controls his own empire (of a certain race). There are so many choices and possible combinations, that there is always something you haven't tried. It's quite simple in mechanics (though it might take time to grasp how magic works). An enjoyable play even after so many years. (for those that might try/retry it, search for patch: 1.31)
My favourite game is Doom. It's an old game, but freaking scary and full of action!
shouldnt be in the off topic if you want to ask me what my fav game is
sorry for double post

I think he wishes to recieve some form of acknowledgement... by repeating the same statement twice in a slightly different manner. Perhaps he wants a complement on how utterly clever he said his favorite game was Amnesia...

...well? Come on, now.
I still think once is enough.
Maybe it's a really subtle reference to amnesia.

sorry about that, i wanted to edit my reply
and i accidentally added a new one
Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine, classic.
My fav game(s) have been Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee and Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus since I played Oddysee's demo for the first time. If I remember correct I was 10 years old or less.

It's a 2D platformer where you don't have any weapons but you can possess your enemies, make them do stuff like pull levers you wouldn't have an access otherwise and blow them to pieces when you don't need them anymore. I've always loved the black humour in the game and both the story and gameplay are just amazing: follow your destiny, rescue your friends and kill your enemies in terrible ways. Those games have a really unique species and environments I haven't seen in anywhere else. Heart Even if something similar-ish can be found nowadays, at that time they were really, well, odd.

After Okami was released a couple of years ago it took the first place held by OW 1&2. It's an adventure game that looks like a japanese calligraphy but is still clearly 3D and looks alive. You play as a reborn sun goddess Amaterasu, learn 13 celestrial brush techniques and collect praise from humans and animals while fighting the lord of darkness Yami and his demons. I've probably never cried so much during anything I've watched or listened than I cried in this game. It was so touching. Blush Plus I like canines so much and this is probably the only adventure game where's lots of them.

Other games I like a lot are monster growing and training games like Pokémon and Digimon and RPGs like Final Fantasies. FFIX is probably my favourite FF. And VII, ofc. I also love some other platformers like the Insomniac's Spyro the Dragon 1-3 and Naughty dog's Crash Bandicoot 1-3. The newer ones are just ¤#%# in my opinion.

From horror genre... surprise surprise: Amnesia and Penumbras 1&2.
