I have purchased and tried playing Amnesia: The Dark Decent, but it turns out I cannot. I am having the same exact problem as multiple people among these threads, the Intel HD Graphics card problem. I'd like to follow the advice I've seen so far but I just want to be really sure what I have to download, or if there's anything I can do at all.

HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC
Windows 7 Premium OS, 64-bit
Intel Core i7 Processor
Intel® HD Graphics Family
F.1A BIOS Version

Well, turns out I did something right because it is now working perfectly. There were these occasional black boxes at the beginning but I haven't seen them since. I followed the instructions on the main thread for the Intel HD troubleshooting and I used the update option from the computer, it must of downloaded a newer driver because Amnesia now works.

Also make sure that your Intel drivers are fully updated.

Intel overall or specific drivers?
