I am having problems with being able to see the environment upon starting Amnesia.Currently, I'm running Amnesia with a Mobile Intel® HD Graphics display adapter. However, I purchased my laptop only recently, and it's running on an i7 with 8GB RAM. It also has a Radeon ™ HD 6490M display adapter available, however it seems that Amnesia is reading the Intel graphics driver.

I did some prior research and was directed to a topic where I could possibly update my driver manually (the "Have Disk" method) however, my efforts were futile as my drivers were already up-to-date. Is it possible to run Amnesia with my dedicated graphics card, rather than my integrated one (Radeon, instead of Intel)?
If you have an HP laptop then most probably you can play the game using the AMD card. For any other laptop (please specify the brand and model) you need to make sure that you have the latest Intel HD drivers installed using the have disk method.

1. What operating system do you have? Also 32-bit or 64-bit?
2. What brand and model is your laptop?
3. Attach me here the file HPL.log found under Documents\Amnesia\Main folder.

you should go to device manager and turn the intel chipset off
it should automatically use the HD6490M

No, never do that. It will make the system very unstable. Both cards are needed for it to work correctly.

sorry for my mistake, but i never had any problems doing that. With 3 new graphics cards so far.
i also looked it up on another forum to be sure its not dangerous and a guy with 11k posts said the same

OP, check this thread by plutomaniac out

The Intel HD card is needed for small Windows stuff like Aero as well as movies, videos, youtube, images etc... and so if you disable it the system might not work properly with the dedicated one. Moreover, the embedded is needed for battery and performance improvements.
