What are you trying to accomplish with the edits?

I mean, not to sound cruel, but on a lot of those, the originals kinda look nicer than the edits, which are basically just filters and brightness changes. And lots of blur. I'm just confused, that's all.

The blur is to bring focus to the important objects.
The editing is to make it stand out more.

You should probably add a few point lights near the candles.
Do you know how many pointlights I already have in there?

Too bright, needs more contrast between the lit and the non lit areas.
In some sense i find it to be pretty decent, because if you put so many torches in there, wouldn't be obvious that whole room is pretty bright, if we go into physics. It makes way more less sense to me, if there is fire and only very tiny area around light is bright and i mean too little area Tongue.

That doesn't look anywhere near as aesthetically appealing though, and when you're mapping aesthetics are more important than realism (to a certain extent, that is). And even if you look past that, I would argue that it is more realistic to have the light spread out, light bounces off surfaces and spreads out, it doesn't just cut off.

Actually no, are you aware that a lit torch does not have a giant radius of light being emitted? It's actually quite small, even though all these lights are here realisticly speaking the room itself should be pretty damn dark.

Well, I have been in caves (huge ones) with torches myself and it wasnt that dark after torch being in that cave room (what is normally totally dark), after all light can travel everywhere and the light what I had with me wasn't even as huge as in amnesia game. But I am not gonna argue with you, as it might not end well.

If it looks appealing or not is totally different story and I didn't comment about that. I only talked about lighting and how it looked, but I have seen certainly worse screenshots then this though Smile.
Which room are you talking about?? Mine?!

Aye, I find it too bright, it doesn't seem natural.
