Better? because apparently what seems to look "normal" to my screen is dark for you people. so sorry if it still looks too dark :/
That looks nice, Danny Boy. I like the luminescent plants at the base of the tree in the middle. From what I can see, that's a very convincing outdoor, swampy environment. Smile

On the complete opposite end of the weather spectrum, here's some snow!

Not a big fan of the electric lamp there but the snow texture on the wood is very tasty Tongue

I guess Winter is coming after all.
Actually, the beauty of it is that all the snow (except for the grassy snow on the ground) is decals. It makes it very easy to do snowy environments, just build your building then slap snow all over it decal style. Smile
I like the electric lamp, the illuminating light on it looks nice. I'm not feeling the overall lighting though, doesn't feel right. The white fog is bothering me the most in the screen shot.

I think the bottom lamp has it, but add some billboards + light-dust particles with the top lamp also.

Decals are flat. As a result in general it would look like everything is not covered with a snow, but simply frozen. You have to make some real 3D piles of the snow... I'll do that, I'll PM you. That's an easiest thing to make, but very important to make a realistic snowy atmosphere.
Hey Alex that would be useful for my story too.
Here are the results of Alex's snow models! Very, very useful. Smile

Can I have those snowpiles as well?
