FATAL ERROR: URL BREAKS PROTOCOL R34!
what protocol r34??
(04-22-2013, 12:59 PM)JustAnotherPlayer Wrote: [ -> ]Just two screenshots from my bedroom level in AFM. I took your advices and I personally think the results are nice. It's just the fact that I don't know where to put the carpet and what to fill in the left part (the second screenshot)
[insert images in spoiler]
I really like how this map is starting to come together! For carpets, place it where it looks natural and scale it (so helpful, I know... just wait, I'll give some examples). Places like leading from a doorway (not usually much wider than the doorway itself), beside a bed, in front of a fireplace, under a group of couches and chairs. Pretty much anywhere where a bit of extra comfy-ness for the feet would be much appreciated (told ya there were examples coming).

I agree about the clock being a little bit too tall, though. Maybe scale it down so it's the height of the closet?
Spoiler below!

(I definitely didn't change the entire content of this post)

(Edit - I made a thread http://www.frictionalgames.com/forum/thread-21250.html) Quick question - I'm making a rather gigantic library (the 7-floor one but revamped to look much cooler) and I wanted a bit of feedback on the layout/design. Should I make a new thread and ask there or is here okay? It's not exactly a well-developed screenshot, so I wasn't sure Confused

I'm not double-posting because that's just awkward.

Thanks for the advice. The floor below is empty and I feel that it should of been part of the level. What do you guys think about this?

Vertical movement is great! It provides a sense of reality and adds a bit of variety to the usual sprawling-lateral movement maps Big Grin As long as the floor below is given a purpose (den, study, entertainment room, etc), it should be pretty awesome!

Just make sure lighting doesn't leak through from the above floor
I'm just gonna drop these here.
A little dream world I came up with...

I hope you're able to see it
The effects give a nice image, but I'm not fond playing under those conditions.

Then it's good it's not going to be all through the game Wink
I understand it makes you dizzy. Me too... But it's really good to create this ingame fear/supernatural feeling
Just two screenshots from my Bedroom level for AFM. I wanna make the floor below a study since it's empty, but I can't find any spaces.
