I have a new laptop, an HP Pavilion dv6000. It has the requirements to run Penumbra. Vista, 1.87gigs of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150.

The requirements are here:
OS: Windows 2000/XP
Processor: 1Ghz
Memory: 256MB
Disc Space: 300MB free(for demo)
Video Card: Radeon 8500/GeForce 3

Yet when I try to play the game it is incredibly slow. The movies run fine, the audio is okay... it's just it lags so much graphically. So I tried setting everything on the lowest level on the game's graphics menu. It helped, but only slightly.

What's going on?
your ram; I believe penumbra needs 500 ram to work.
Turn your resolution in the game down to 600x700 or whatever it is (not 600x800, there's a resolution below that one)
I switched to that one, and it really helped it me. Try shutting down background tasks that you aren't using, and try running a defragment on your computer.
its 512 ram btw :p
and he has more then required he has 1.87gigs of ram wich is 1870 mb ram wich is more then ok
i think its your video card but not shure

and windexglow, do you mean 640*480?
Do you have latest graphic drivers?
