okay after an entire day messing about with my two laptops and my desktop computer, updating drivers, installing, uninstalling etc. etc. yes I used the troubleshooting guide going through every possible issue. at the end of the day none of them could run amnesia.
my partner and I just want to play the freaking game and cry like little girls. so we've decided easiest quickest option, buy another laptop for gaming.
will this laptop run amnesia?

thanks, mads.
I'm not a genius with specs, but I checked here:
http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.p...quirements
With the specifications and it may struggle when it comes to the graphics card, which I figured. 256 video Ram is small >> You would probably have to play mainly on low settings. That's if it works at all. You can give the test on the site a run if you would like.
This laptop will not be able to run Amnesia smoothly. Can you tell me the graphics cards of the 3 other computers? Maybe each ones HPL.log will be more helpful.
I use that laptop
I've completed the game with it. As long as you haven't moved from a gaming computer to this you won't know what your missing out on. It is pretty good for it's price and there are a few games you can play with bearable fps.
On amnesia I got a steady 18-25 fps all the way through with all settings on medium, however on justine this was a little lower, and on some custom stories it can be considerably lower. (sometimes >10 fps)
The biggest problem I have had with it was overheating when playing Justine, but that was in the summer and the air was really warm at the time anyways.
I'd suggest getting it if you only want it for amnesia and other easy to run games, but if you want to start getting into PC gaming and playing some new games you will find yourself wanting an upgraded computer pretty soon.
Maybe saving money for a little longer for a stronger PC would be a better option, setting the process to high priority would save some frames too and it would be smarter to get a desktop instead for when you think about getting better hardware.

That website tends to get things wrong.
I couldn't agree more with Your Computer. This site is not authorised for the game specs and almost everyone claiming to have bought the game after this site told with everything was ok, ended up with a useless copy of Amnesia.
