i want a new look on the model like other have in mods
Exactly like kman said.
First of all, Kman is right, you need to make whatever you are making a total conversion. On top of that, you need a model and texture for a new lantern. If you have a total conversion set up, rename all your lantern files so that they are called "hand_lantern" then replace the default files. Then apply the texture with the material editor and create a .ent file through the model editor for the lantern. Once that is done, it should show up in your total conversion. If you don't like its position, keep moving it wherever in the model editor and save, then reload whatever level you are in in the game. It should keep updating the position of the custom lantern.
I feel like you never search on the site or the wiki before you ask a question. A lot of things you ask have already been answered or put on a tutorial. For example, if you rummaged around a bit, I just made this in the article section yesterday:
