Hello, before I begin I am a level creator/modder/whatever, and I need your help.
(I am in process of creating my custom story, lets put it like that).

Now In my custom story there is one map that is filled with bookcases, and I don't want them to be empty.

Filling the bookcases with books is really painful, especially that books don't fit the "shelf_high01" correctly, so I have to manually enter the X, Y, Z to put the books in the correct place Sad

What I am asking is this: Is there an option to fill bookcases with books with ease? Maybe a custom 3D model which is just a filled bookcase?

Thank you.
I REALLY wish there was but there isn't. You have to place each book yourself, unless you use the rows. Using the rows will help a little bit, but you'll see the repeating book pattern in the game which may look strange or tacky, but that's just me. Have you clicked on the magnet in the lower left hand corner? It turns off/on sticking to the grid. When off, you can move freely. Also, when you place a book on the shelf correctly, click on it and press CTRL D. It will duplicate it in it's exact spot; just move the arrow and you'll see it. Hope that was helpful!

The Magnet thing really gained me a bit of speed Big Grin

Thank you very much Shy

another helpful tip is to pick the books in the entity files and on the right, it should say "create on surface"... check it and the books will do just that =]
Statyk, true but it doesn't work really well on small surfaces like bookcases and its shelfs.

Works fine for me >> I used it in Oh Silent Night and didn't have any issues.
It's not a big deal though, it just costs me 3 seconds more Tongue
