sorry in advance for useless post Smile
I think, Oswald is a really proper name.
Mandus is only the family name, like Philip LaFresque.

Yeah, I hope also. But they don't have a publisher -FG is financing this project- and so I think it will be for download only - perhaps russian or american retail, but european? It would be great if any.

And I really hope for european languages, not only englich like Dear Esther.

Quote:Also, you used the "game" word again, that word shouldn't be used in reference to Dear Esther

Also, you're arguing semantics, and it's pointless here.

And here, for the hell of it. TheChineseRoom's own response to questioning on the category of Dear Esther. From their Steam forum Q&A

Quote:Again, I'm not being difficult, but I just don't care. I mean, yeah, it
is. Gaming is a broad, broad church and we should celebrate the fact
that stuff as diverse as Esther and Call of Duty and JS Joust and Pac
Man are all from the same place. If I'm watching a movie, I don't care
if it's a thriller or comedy or whatever, I care if it's good. That was
our marker - is this thing we're making good. None of us were interested
in the structural intellectual debate about the conceptual boundaries
of gaming.

Quote:It stays in the game category because we think it's a game. Games are
way more than just platforming and shooting now, so I think people who
can't get out of CoD and Mario need to smell the coffee a bit. I think
if you worry about what something is conceptually rather than whether
you like it or not, you kind of miss the point.

That's right. But the people are casual gamers and far away from games with art.

So, they stop playing Amnesia when they are in the archives and are thinking the game is boring.
They never played the whole game.
Yes, I never played Call of Duty also, but Amnesia said it isn't a game to win. And I think, to be not the superhero is the most important thing in a horror game. When people don't like it, they don't like horror. Or maybe only horror for teenagers like SAW.

... Or maybe it just didn't scare them that bad. I for one loved Amnesia, I played it multiple times and tons of custom stories. With that said though did it scare me to the point where I was fear quitting every minute and crying? No. Maybe it would make my hand shake a lot but I never got as scared as a lot of other people did. Some people are just more fear resistant than others, and it's REDICULOUS to assume that just because they weren't petrified with fear they're stupid immature teens that only enjoy Call of Duty and can't appreciate the game. You really need to try to start thinking more before you post.

No, I'm just other opinion like you.

This sentence makes no sense and will now self destruct in 3... 2...

It's fine to have a different opinion, but when your opinion is so ignorant and close minded that literally NO ONE AGREES WITH YOU you might want to rethink what you're saying.

Why should I? Please stop going me on the bisquit.
This thread is already filled enough with such insignificant arguments.

I've said what I'm thinking and now I don't explain more and more why it is.
I see no more sense there.

Oh hey guys! What's going on this thread? Let's turn this into a flamewar!
If we could now just ignore these dummies and actually concentrate on the main thing...
Well, to be honest there isn't anything to talk about except your personal look at the game. Which will eventually turn into a flamewar. So, lock? Or we wait for further updates and let this flamewar go on and on.
Someone please shut down this thread.
Will you guys chill out?! There's no reason to shut the thread down. It's the internet, arguments happen.
