In gaming they usually make the first game brilliant( example- Suffering,Wolfenstein,Fear,Dead space etc..) but the second one is in a lot of cases a shadow of the first game.

I could be wrong but screaming pigs in chinatown just don't cut it for me.
I can't quickly recall any cases when the sequel was better in survival horror genres, though, Silent Hill 2 was pretty damn good follow up to SH1, but there is a lot of examples when the sequel is better in other genres.

I seriously hope you are trolling right now. Of all the games... at last you could mention Condemned.
Opinions, though.

Saty - I'm not even going to bother responding, with a more detailed reply, because you OBVIOUSLY don't do your research in game companies and on games. I will tell you this, The Suffering was made by Midway. If you haven't heard of Midway, you live under a rock, unless you're from a newer generation - which means the 2004 game, The Suffering, would have been played by you when you were 8. Everyone should know who Midway is by at least their logo.

Kein, I agree with you whole-heartedly. SH1, 2 and 3 were great. 2 is often said to be the best SH game. Everything after that has done exactly as the Resident Evil series has done... It's not a survival horror game series anymore, which is what Saty, I believe, is referring to. After Res 1, the game series turned into an action-survival game series like Left4Dead. The only problem is that Left4Dead wasn't made to be scary. It's just suppose to be fun with occasional quick jump scares.

Im older than 99.99% of people on here.Yeah i know it was made by midway, but hell it is one of the most underplayed and underrated games ever.Just because Midway has a name doesn't mean that the game wasn't underrated.Vampire the masquerade bloodlines was made by Troika and published by Activision.Does that make it MAINSTREAM? It is also a hugely underrated game.Fahreneheit published by Atari, underrated as fuck.

How about Unreal Tournament?
I beg your pardon, my friend, Unreal/UT series -- except Unreal 2 -- is a child of Epic Megagames.

I got a few questions about the upcoming AAMFP.
1. Will there be a new engine update, like HPL 3?
2. If there will, will everyone be able to get there hands on it and direct mods, custom stories etc?
3. Is AAMFP an dlc for Amnesia TDD or is it a completely new story? Was wondering due to the fact that it's actually called Amnesia
Well that was pretty much all i had to say. Thank you on forehand Big Grin
Merry Christmas

1. No, it is modified/upgraded version of HPL2 that Amensia used. Unofficially called HPL2.5.
2. You mean editor tools? Apparently old editor won't be compatible, if I understand correctly what Sam said few pages later. There was no word about level editor for AMFP.
3. Story-wise - same universe, distribution-wise- separate game, not like Justine.

Midway worked as a publisher for and worked in unison with Epic Games, with the exception of UT2. They also worked on Unreal Championship, but that's a different story.

Midway worked in unison with Epic to make Unreal Tournament 1. They worked as a partner and publisher in the later series. I also forget that Midway is an American company that seldom reaches out of borders to create a game. That was my bad.
Why are we talking about a off-topic video game company?

Are you a gaming developer or something? Who gives a fuck who developed the game!! So being a gamer i should do my "homework" and know which game was devoloped by which company and published by whom? Hell, i didn't know you have to learn stuff like that, how about just play the fing game and stfu.Prisoner of war, another underrated game, even if the developer was WELL known that doesn't meant the game is underrated.
Underrated game- Not heard by many, not played by many!! Pretty much the definition.

*Wonders if if post is a a clever post. Or just the result of a brain damage... sits down and thinks for a minute and realizes the post is stupid either way.*
This thread should be called "AAMFP + Other Non-Related Games Discussion"
See, the thing is, most of the topic on AMFP has been discussed. There's not much to do other than wait for "tweets" or the release.
