A lot of people were excited, they just didn't write about it. You obviously haven't read the whole thread.
Like Deep One said, people became more focused on the video quality than the trailer itself. My jimmies were a bit rustled at those people when it came out...
Nackidno, I have read all 413 pages of this thread (and yet barely touched any of the others!). Yes, people are clearly very excited about the game, but when the Halloween trailer was posted, there seemed to be (imo) a significant lack of excited blabber or strings of superlatives. If I'd put that much work and effort into a trailer, for an admittedly grumpy and impatient fan-base, I'd be more than a little disappointed when reading the reactions on this thread.
To set things right, that was an incredible trailer. So much to get excited about and yet so little revealed. And SCARY.
Although we don't have a Release Date, i hope that AAMFP is scarier than A:TDD, and have a different, but scarier recipe for scaring us.
I think the only worthy information in your post is what sort of business EB/Gamestop runs when they have pre-orders for fictive hardware such as X720 and PS4.
We have no intentions of releasing a boxed AMFP, never have and have certainly never discussed it as a possibility with anyone related to EB/Gamestop.
There might be a box at some point, but boxed releases are not on any list of priorities for us.

I work for EB Games/Gamestop and AMFP has been available for preorder since October last year.
However, recently, we receieved an email to notify customers who put down preorders that they're now entitled to a refund because AMFP has been pulled from being released store wide. It's now officially decoded and a discontinued item.
Keep in mind, we still stock hard copies of the A:TDD.
I hope I'm wrong, and the game is still being released, just entirely through digital distribution.
Keep in mind:
EB Games/Game Stop has been accepting preorders for an 'xbox 720' and a 'Playstation 4' for quite some time, despite there being no official information or any notions of a release date in the future. tHIS is why I'm concerned for this title if he has been truly cancelled!
So they pulled a game they never would have gotten in the first place. Genius!

I was not one of them thankfully. I don't care much about the graphics of games, but mostly the story and gameplay.
February 28 now at moddb, someone really wants to drive us crazy it seems.
AAAAA, no fake dates please!
