How would one make a circle/crescent (without a custom model) that would represent a moon? Right now I am using a big thing of red coal, which could resemble a blood moon, but I'm unsure. Help?

Want! Could you give me that billboard? Or is it several?
I got it off of Google images. Big Grin

Okay, I have one, how do I actually make it work in my billboards folder in my CS folder? It refuses to show up in the editor.
You need to make a material file for it. Do note, though, billboards are upside-down in game.
Okay, so I have been messing around with it for a while, and studying the wiki.

I can't get it to work. Could you head me towards a detailed tutorial of some sort please? Thanks.
Just make sure the Diffuse texture is the moon image. That's really all that is needed (assuming the image is in a format supported by the game). For General::Type, just make sure it's not water or possibly decal.
Ha, thanks a lot!

One does not simply make a circle/crescent moon !
