So I put about 20 man hours of work into this map, and I really need positive feedback so that I know that the maps I'm making are totally epic. So yeah, took me so much time, and im really proud of this map Big Grin.

By the way, this is my brother's map, and I had no part in the development of this map. (PS. there are two keys in the very first room.)
Coming on to frictional forum, posting your map and asking for positive feedback. I find this amusing.

- You didn't even package your custom story correctly. I had to make a folder to put it in.
- Ian's_map? HAHAHAHA?
- Oh lord. Words cannot describe how i feel looking at this room. Evidently you just had fun with the scale tool.
- Wall clipping. Proper grid placement will eliminate this. You also have a rather large gap in the wall.
- You should really name all of your keys.
- Ridiculously giant piece of paper.
- The scale on these candles is ridiculous.
- You want to put welders between all castlebase walls, as well as cellarbase.
- Using the key breaks the door?
- Picked the middle door and started running. Got caught.
- There's not even a ceiling in these halls.
- Oh. I'm glad you put a message detailing that.
- To the Rec-Room, I suppose.
- Wait...the floor disappears?
- Slaughtered. Hm.
- Is...that the end? I guess so, as I can't move.

Positive feedback? I think not. This map is all very basic scripting, horrible mapping, and an attempt to be "funny". Evidently you've not heard of Gridlocking. This is one of those maps that people make to mess around in, and is not one for releasing. As proud as you may be of this map, you need to spend way more time making it significantly better.

Ehh, in this map is 2 bugs 1) at the beginning of the space through which you can fall through the map, so I came when I tried to get levitating box for the key. 2) we can get into mini-bed and look away from the map.
"20 man hours"... pfft. Please don't release something you rush. It bumps down the stories that have earned their place on this forum.
damn, i stuck in walls, OMG. Exclamation
and can"t find key in room with 3 statues, and then i Jump over door and again walk through the walls Big Grin
btw, that way walking the walls - i can reach door with 3 monsters and 3 plates, then monsters kills me and i freeze definitely(+ freezes my mouse, keyboard - everything!!)

Did you play it? I always try to be constructive, but in all honesty, this guy is either trolling or he has no idea how to make a custom story properly. I know there is no "proper" way to do it, but, well, this is definitely NOT a good map. Not one bit. Confusing, pointless, ultimately a waste of 5 mins.

Sorry, but that's just how it is.
Ok I just saw it through the level editor.

Advice:

1. - Make sure to match the walls up, always put a ceiling on every room.
2. - Even out the rooms, don't make them so big
3. - This goes with .2 but make sure you populate the rooms, when people make huge rooms, it's hard to populate it.
4. - Don't always use boxlights, mix it up a little
5. - Use Door frames and door ways to make door ways
6. - Make sure the maps make sense
Due to all the positive feedback my brother's map has been getting, he
reluctantly agreed to make a sequel. At first, he was done making maps,
but due to all the love and support, he thought he owed it to the world
to make another amnesia map. All you fans who have posted on this thread
will get a SPECIAL and personal invitation to this new map. Dream about
it now, cause its coming!
