The animal is already dead at this point. I don't find this any more disrespectful than the old-fashioned way with a saw (which, in my opinion, looks even more brutal anyway).

Googolplex, humans are "allowed" to kill an animal under 3 circumstances:
1. As an act of self-defense
2. To save somebody's life
3. To eat it.
These three conditions are perfectly moral and acceptable.
I can see that you're very sensitive. Sensitives have harder life.

4. Enemies may not killed to torture or for fun. They shouldn't feel pains!
And no, sensitives don't have harder lifes, they feel something that stayed denied for others.
Well, most animals are pretty much slaughtered like this or similar. Sad but it must be done for food. And in the new Amnesia, the slaughtering may be more brutal because back then they had way less standards and regulations.
