This was originally a mod for hl2. If you go to thechineseroom website you can probably find the old version, they also have another horror mod for hl2 called "Korsakovia", it's quite good for the experience. A little frustrating at some points when you don't know what to do so don't be afraid to noclip in some of the later segments.
Korsakovia was terrible though.

As for the game, I am amazed that that's on the source engine.
Korsakovia was cool Sad Not the best developed gameplay, a little too fiddly at some points, but still a cool experience.

The one enemy the game had was irritating, the puzzles were unintuitive or just outright stupid, and the level design was godawful. Sure the story and some of the environments were ok, but beyond that it didn't really have anything to redeem itself.
New Indie first-person survival horror game?!?
What the hell? It's clearly not survival and it has just slight horror elements. Maybe First Person Visual Novel? A visual novel that you have to piece together yourself.

Also, Robert Briscoe is a wizard!
I thought I was known for weird taste...

You are quoted on the trailer for Worry of Newport - yes you do indeed have weird tastes. :]
