What exactly you mean? Overture is Episode One.
nackido was just being funny. Overture IS Episode 1. The tech demo was either an experiment or just having fun making up some game, don't know the whole history, but apparently so many loved it, the developers decided in creating full version games of Penumbra.
Yeah, it was something to show how they could 'involve' players in the game. I think.
