I have this story in my head that I would like some point of views on.
The story starts out with you and some friends that have decided to visit an old mansion/castle in your town which used to belong to Mr.[Insert Name] and his wife and young daughter (both of which died of tuberculosis). Mr [Insert Name] moved away a couple of years later after the death of his wife and child, leaving his research behind. He was researching the human psyche of feelings. Wether these could be controlled or not. It will also include some theories from Jeremy Bentham, Voltaire, John Stuart Mill and such philosophers
You begin just after a door slammed shut behind you, leaving you separated from your friends (This will however not have that much of an impact on the story itself). You basically go through the castle witnessing events, reading notes, listening to phonograph recordings and finding the key to the door.
Some questions that I hope to be implemented in the story:
- What is true happiness?
- Is mankind as free as we see it?
- What is right and wrong from a ethnic point of view?
- What is pleasure and what is pain?
P.S. It will not contain any physical monsters. This is a crucial point according for me since the monsters from Amnesia aren't that scary anymore and doesn't fit in in this CS.
