. I love the way you think. I liked the way Amnesia is a horror games with dozends of tiny scary events that made it scare as hell. And those pop up naked guys part. Its just awkward and gross -_-'. I like to build the way of story. Instead of pop up scares. Support to you bro ^^!
I'm glad to see that after how ever many times this type of thread has been posted, the more respected/higher ranked members of the community are finally taking interest in it. Maybe now the problem will get the attention it deserves, and we can try to go back to the olden days of custom story creation.

It's utterly hard to find a good CS in the Showcase section right now. It's one of the reasons I haven't really played many.
Agree with most of what's said here. Two suggestions for awesome CS's coming out sometime in the future: Project Timorem and Tenebris Lake. Both offer hundreds of megs of new content and have had many many months of work put into them.
There's tons of other well-made stories still being put out, as well (looking at some of the mappers in this thread here) so, all is not lost.
Well, I don't think that I have been much of a support for serious maps <.<
A proper site that could rate maps and sort them by genre and ranking would be great. How that would be done tough is another problem.
Personally I enjoy playing a "WTF" map a little now and then. But I do agree that there are way too many of those and too few actual stories. And a lot of the "stories" being released are just a heap of PDP references and jumpscares. Not really a lot of play-trough value for anyone else than PDP... If even he really likes to see the same thing over and over.
I agree with pretty much everything in this post, except that i don't find the simple maps to be pointless. Just overdone.
Btw. Anyone else who on youtube who's getting really tired of people always having to leave references in the comments? "OOOHHH THERE'S STEPHANO BBLAGHATTVVXX!!1!11!!11"

a WTF map is ok, once in a while, i have nothing against that. i just think its ridiculous that both pages on the Customstories, TC's & mods page are filled with them.
and yeah, i bet theres probably a good 2000 people doing that out there. its.. frustrating
Support given. As corny as it sounds, I want Amnesia to go down as a respected game. I don't really want PewDiePie jumpscares to be the first thing people think of when they hear Amnesia. That is all.
