There is a new version of Newton Dynamics which is in its alpha stage now. So there will be updates.
Will you increase the amount of hpl scripts modders can use?

The plan is to have a specific map editor for the engine.
So it's like ingame map editor? For free?
The idea is to make map making alot simpler. Which in turn will make it simpler for users to create maps. And if all work out, then the mapeditor should be released with the game (what ever game that may be Wink)
So, there will be a 3d level designer? Or is this just a slightly fancier version of HPL tools?

If it is a level designer; will there be a realtime 3d render of the level, or just wireframe?
The idea is a proper 3D editor. Meaning a program especially made for making HPL2 maps. Afraid I cannot be any more specific then that, mainly because nothing is 100% decided yet Smile
If you can, you should think of switching to a more commonly used scripting language, such as LUA or Python... specifically Python, because it has good OOP practice and coding readability, although LUA is quite popular in the game-scripting culture.

Angelscript is just too unknown and small to attract modders.
