hi. I have the same problem with ati x 1600, i can play cod4 but not penumbra. How can i do?

pentium 4 3.4ghz, ati x 1600 with 512 ram, RAM 2 giga.
I tried to set graphics options, but i have big problems with framerate and with the graphic.
Please help.

OK it works with catalyst 7.11.
But i hope someone can fix this problems, it's very strange that i have to use old version drivers.

Installed ati_omega_xp2k_48442.exe - no effect.

I have that problem too on my XperVision HD2600XT 512MB.

I'm new at this but I do enjoy this game - everything is fine until I get to a room with four arms (I cheated) and did get out. But the room was full of lights and shadows and very difficult to find even the rotation device to turn to get out. Did get out. Then ended up in the room with 3 barrels but it also was so full of lights, spectrums, and shadows I couldn't locate the circles that were supposed to be on the floor. Please help. Anyone? I downloaded the update, the patch and the drivers for the Radeon 9550. This game is very enjoyable but I cannot get out of this room with all the lights.

Check at 3.00 and make sure u are doing all as u should.
