When I open an original map, let's say the 12_storage.map, there's no ceiling. Is this just a bug or a problem?
They have the ability to make entities invisible (something that I would love to do) but I have absolutely no idea how to go about that business and nothing is explained on how to do that. If anyone knows, I would love to be able to make stuff invisible.
They're called clipping planes. Options for them are on the bottom toolbar. Makes it easier to build, especially if you're using actual objects for your ceiling instead of a plane.
I didn't even know that. Was there a mention of that somewhere in the editor tutorials?

They have no effect in game and are generally useless unless you have a massive map. It will reduce the clutter in the level editor and make it run more smoothly. For example, if there was an area of your map that you finished that is very detailed and causing it to lag, you can use the plane to make it "invisible" and be less intensive on your computer.

These can be created by clicking the "+" next to clip panes (bottom middle of the editor)then you can change the angle of it into yz, xz, or xy. You can also change the height of them to get it exactly where you want it.

A good use of it would be the sewer level; if I remove all of my planes and look at the entire map, my beast of a computer lags because it is very large and detailed.
