Sorry if I'm breaking the rules, I've been trying to get this game running for 3 hours now. I'm not tech savvy. Huh

HP Touchsmart tm2 notebook
Intel Core i5, U430 @ 1.20GHz 1.30GHz
4GB Ram
Windows 7 Home Premium, 64bit
Intel HD Graphics (Driver Version: 8.15.10.2202, Last updated 2010, seems old.)

So... I installed AMD, but that's not relevant at the moment.

I followed the "Have Disk" Method to step 9. The graphics folder contains no "igdlh" files. The only .inf file is "Kit45406"... So... Sad
so you downloaded the wrong driver obviously

I'll be pretty disappointed in myself if that's the case. Huh

Here is an image of the one I download.
It looks correct, are you sure you went to the right folder after clicking have disk? The file should definitely be there...
I downloaded it again to be sure, and just extracted straight to desktop. I'm almost positive I followed the disk check instructions correctly. Here's another picture of where I assume the files should be located. If you need any other sort of screen caps, please ask!

(I tried switching that "A Drive" to "C" but everything was the same... I seriously doubt this was worth mentioning.)

I'm excited to play this game in alone in the dark with some headphones on! Confused
What the...???

They changed it apparently, try the kit45406. It should work...
Okay, it proceeded to the next screen. But this warning worries me more than any Amnesia baddies might... Sorry for being paranoid, but I'm not in the position where I'd know how to fix this if anything went awry.

Should I carry on? I'm not holding you accountable or anything, but I'd appreciate a confident yes or no. Undecided

[EDIT: Better Picture]
Ignore my last post, if I had pressed okay, gnarly things may have happened. Some googling yielded this information. Apparently this ZIP is faulty, and contains the wrong file. However, the .exe version does contain the igdlh64.inf.

The options I've found are editing the kit45406.inf... and I don't really trust myself with that.

I tried running the executable, but I got a message saying that my computer does not meet the minimum requirements for this update... Which I'm pretty sure is bogus...

The only idea I have left is to download the "igdlh64.inf" separately... Does it need those other files as reference? Does it need to be in a specific directory?

Sorry for the trouble, I hope I'm not being a huge moron/waste of time.
Thanks so much for reading this, plutomaniac. I uber appreciate your help.
Success! I don't know how or why that worked, but you have my gratitude! Enjoy your rep, it's all I can offer. Heart

Thanks for helping me to play what I'm sure is a fantastic game! Big Grin
