I downloaded amnesia eager try it out. however when i start the game the main menu is black, no weird castle walls or anything, then when i start the game only the crosshair is visible, pressing j and m and esc do bring up menus and they are visible, i tried everything here

indeed but nothing i do seems to fix it.
Im assuming you never tried updating your intel driver?
i tried but there an error occured every time i tried to update it.

What type of error?
it just said it encountered an error and couldnt install the drivers.
