Frictional Games Forum (read-only)

Like said on the title, i installed amnesia and the updates but when i start the game maxed out it run slow..
But the raccomented spec said i can run it well o.o

here my specs:
Windows 7 - 64Bit
i5 Quad core (don't remember the version number) 3.0 GHz
GeForce Nvidia GTX560 1Gb memory
8Gb RAM
etc..
i already controlled the file on documents and it seems ok!
please help!

To me it seems that the game can't find your character after loading a game. Try loading different save.
Also if you have high SSAO setting, try lowering it to 8 or 16.

it seems the ssao o.O why it's so heavy? on other games i use HBAO withou problem

It's heavy due to openGL I'd asume, as most games run direct3D. It's technical talk.

aaand... why don't amnesia use direct3D? :/

Because it doesn't, I don't know the specific details behind that.
