I pirate video games. I really do, sorry but that's just what happens. However, Amnesia gets a pass. I will pay for it, and beyond that I will pay ANYTHING for it. I have already played your game, all the way through, and following the ethical pirate's credo of "try before you buy", I have tried. I want to buy. You deserve it.
To put things bluntly, name a price below five hundred USD. I will pay it, no matter what. That's what it's worth to me. Any modeator/administrator, type a number, I will pay (via paypal). No exceptions, if you think your product is worth five hundred, it's yours. If you think it's worth no more than your store's price, done. I'll buy. Your choice.
You entertained a wealthy man, and now it's time to reap your reward. Name it.

It's me, a person with a *lot* of money to his name, wanting to give the people who made a seriously wonderful thing quite a bit of money. As much as they think its worth, within reason. What do YOU think it's worth, anyway? Assume your personal finances mean nothing; mine sure don't. Just talk about value; how much is The Dark Decent worth? Frankly, I think it's worth a lot.
So come on, name a price. I'm happy to pay; I love encouraging independent game development.
I think you should start by just buying the game..
Perhaps you could buy it multiple times? Or just donate to Frictional Games (but I'm not sure how one would go about doing that.)

Oh don't think I didn't consider that. But the overwhelming majority of PC game sales go through Valve's Steam service, which I do not approve of. I am grateful of them for Half Life 2 and its expansions and have compensated them for it, but beyond that they do not deserve money for anything else listed on their server, especially the masterpiece of Amnesia The Dark Descent. I suppose I could spend the $20 Frictional asks on their store, but I am at a point i my life where I can afford to give more than that. Much, much more. So, do tell me, why should I spend the $20 fee and then offer the remainder of my price? Better to offer the entirety all at once.
Besides that, it tells me quite a bit about the company by what they request from a man who offers them a great deal of money. Do they jump on the freely admitted ceiling? Do they ride the middle, just enough to fuel themselves to indefinite relevance? Am I and my faux-donation all but unnecessary? This sort of thing matters.
