I'm in a room with arms coming off the wall and barbed wire but it's a bit blurry and kinda waving in and out. I want to restart my pc to see if that's the prob or is the game supposed to be hazy at this point? And how do I get the hell out of this room?
The game saves automatically Sad

To get out of the room just push the hands in the right order up to the wall so that fire is coming out of them ^_^

*wahh... describe solutions in english is hard for me as german ^^*
Ok I guess I described the wrong part, the room with the books and a noose behind some barbed wire , carpet on the wall next to a switch and a hand coming out of the wall. It do not allow me to interact with these hands...that was the previous room.
Oh this room. With the noose behind the wire and the books. Go to the closed door. On the right side should be a switch or so - use this. On the ground now should come up some colored circles.

Look for the three circles that contain all three colors (blue, yellow, green when i remember) in them and push the barrels on these circles.

Or short: push the barrels on the multi-colored circles.

Sorry for bad english.
now it has to be my vid card , the floor looks like it has some radioactive stuff on it and it's all one color. No circles. I've changed vid settings and each time it looked weired but not a single stich of any of those colors.
Yep this sounds like some graphic bugs ^_^

ATI HD Card?

Well... i think you have to wait for an patch.
Regarding "saving the game" -

On the Load Game screen there are selectons for;
Save Spots -- ***How do I save a game to this menu?***
Auto Saves -- Self explanatory
Favourites -- User can select chosen games to be saved from Auto Saves...

Also - on a screen at the end of the game you see a liine for;
"Save artifacts used"
***What is this for?*** - mine said "2" but I don't know what that refers to and how it should work.

when you touch one of those glowing artifact things, the game saves
Well i think Autosaves saving the game at every point before a script starts (a zombie attacking you when you pull trigger X or something and before this script starts the game make an autosave because you can probably die at this point).

And Save Spots... are like... chapters in a book ^^ Yeah i think you can describe it as chapters in a book. The hmm... spaces? (don't know how i should call it)... between the Savespots are longer as the space between Autosaves.

Actually, the Save Spots are the artifacts scattered around the game. When you touch them, Philip will say something about a part of him being trapped inside.
