Right now I have Ati 4200 integrated graphics (785g chipset), but
Amnesia is unplayable. I am thinking of getting an AMD 7770 card, but I
wasn't sure if it's powerful enough.

What is the minimum video card
necessary to play Amnesia at max settings and 1080 resolution? thanks

Ok, like I said, that card is more than enough.

My card is an Nvidia Geforce 9500 GT, and I am capable of running Amnesia with 60 fps on 800x600, with everything except Shadows, SSAO, and Edge Smoothing enabled.

Would a 7770 be enough for max settings at 1080 resolution though? thanks again

As I said, it should be more than enough. If not, you can always try lowering the SSAO quality. That takes up a GPU like a fat kid takes up a cake.
Most cards won't be able to play Amnesia smoothly at truly MAX settings. However, with SSAO kept low (and possibly anti-alias), the 7770 could do 1080p.
