No matter how hard you try to explain a topic like this, I'll be in the same state "KingWolf" is in.
The problem is that you are trying to visualize the universe which is completely wrong. The best way in order not to be confused (and that's not guaranteed) is to think it as a mathematical model, but I doubt any of us here can understand the Math behind all this. So we are limited in words.
