I decided to create this thread for those who have a small question in mind, that itself isn't simply enough important to start a new thread.
_______________________________________________________

I'll start:

Does 1920x1080 monitor display 1600x1200 resolution correctly?

Since the vertical pixel amount in Full HD isn't big enough for the 4:3 aspect ratio, I'd say 'no'. I want to confirm if this is correct.

I'll start:

Does 1920x1080 monitor display 1600x1200 resolution correctly?

Since the horizontal pixel amount in Full HD isn't big enough for the 4:3 aspect ratio, I'd say 'no'. I want to confirm if this is correct.
Just simplify them:

1600:1200 = 16:12 = 8:6 = 4:3
1920:1080 = 960:540 = 480:270 = 240:135 = 48:27 = 16:9

So no.

EDIT: I mean, you can display it if you want to but it will be stretched as the aspect ratios differ (you already know that though I think).

Umm... No? Even though the aspect ratio differs, I still can use the 4:3 aspect ratio on my 16:9 monitor.
I just change the monitor settings and 4:3 displays correctly leaving black bars on the sides.

The question was that does it fit in, since the vertical pixel amount is higher in the 4:3 (1200) than my monitor's native 1080. Using common sense, I can't see it fitting in, but that's why I want to confirm it.

I'm not a fan of black bars. Anyway, you said horizontal pixel amount in your original post. I doubt it fits, I'm sure you would have to crop or stretch it one way or another (but I'm not an expert).
Yes I said, but I edited the post since I meant vertical.

I saw. My definition of "displaying correctly" though is no black bars, stretching or cropping which isn't possible with incompatible ratios. Why do you want 1600x1200 anyway?

True on that. However, with my current setup I use the 4:3 setting since I hate the stretching but still don't want to miss any information and still want to use the highest possible resolution, hence the question.

Some older games don't have native 16:9 support so they stretch the image if set to that resolution.

Fair enough. Well sorry that I couldn't be of any real help. Good idea for a thread BTW, but I'm not so sure it's practical.
Maybe, but I will still use it since I don't want to start new thread for every idea or thought that I have. Big Grin
i have a question, is it possible to convert a (jpeg picture for example) to xml ?

converting any format of picture to XML ? Haven't find any converting software or anything Sad
