Why is that?
From what i read, you want special treatment. If one wants special treatment, others will too, and then the treatment will no longer be special. So, I put my foot down, and told you to drop this topic. Im in no position to boss you around; i'm just another forum member, but I find this a kind of dumb thing to request.
I was wondering why that wasn't possible, I wasn't requesting. Until Scraper changed it a bit.

Understandable. Its a genuine question, but I think everyone on the forum agrees that having them changed is a bit pointless; besides, they're the things that identify moderators as moderators, disregarding their purple names.

Although I don't care either way I've been a moderator on BbBoard-powered forums before; it's very easy to change. Btw, why would moderators be motivated by having some text under their name? And why do they need motivation? They chose to become moderators, they knew what it entailed. If they feel completely unmotivated without custom titles then they should stop doing it.

It may be a bit pointless, but it might be a small little addon. I, for one, would like something like that.

And then this was born.

For one, moderators are special; so, they get special treatment by having the ability to do things normal forum members cant. Im not saying that moderators will be un-motivated by not having the ability to change their member titles; but its one of the things that identify moderators (again, disregarding their purple names). I lack the words to describe what I mean, but hopefully you understand where im getting at.

I understand. But then, if you say that member titles help identify moderators, then why would their name be marked in purple?

You threw me in utter confusion.

Moderators don't need custom titles to be identifiable. Moderators on most forums just have the user title "moderator" which is sufficient. How would you feel if police officers were able to officially change their title from "officer" to something like "his lordship" or "his grace" and that it would be official? The generic title "officer" and their blue uniform is enough for them to be easily identifiable (depends on the country; it's black in Iceland). Anyway this is really not a big issue, I just don't agree with you that it's necessary for only moderators to have custom titles.
