Does this just scream Condemned to anyone else?

dont you kill people in condemned?
Honestly I haven't seen enough yet to be completely put off by the game yet. It's likely that these demos, like the the trailer, are heavily scripted game segments which are there to mainly show off what one my come to expect from the game in a tight condensed package.
Like bluel0bster said, who knows? It might just turn out to be something decent.

Yeah, except that Condemned was actually good
(at least the first one)
Okay, on a more serious note though - that enemy is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. He looks like
Killer Croc's less scaley brother. And if you just watch the player's reactions, they don't actually look scared, more like someone's tasering them every few seconds and they're tense because they're anticipating the next electric shock.
Still, I won't judge until I've got a chance to see the finished game, not just a demo. But so far, every video I've seen only made me less and less excited about it...

This game is gonna be really popular with "Let's Play"ers...
Seems like the game is pretty finished. So we do have to expect it coming out at the same time as AMFP
Also I've seen the video. Seems way too jumpscary to me. No monster spawn sound, no terror meter, no monster music: it's not like Amnesia which explicitely tells you through these "MONSTER AROUND - KEEP AWAY". So yeah, I don't believe Outlast is /my/ kind of game. I'm more looking for psychological horror.
When they say that Outlast could be the next Amnesia, I quickly see the gameplay trailer. Amnesia is psychological while this was just "at your face" thing. The only way for Outlast to become the next Amnesia is to make no monsters, use only sounds and quick-monster looks.
First part of the trailer looks cool, but the monsters... They aren't even scary.
