I am sick and tired of getting killed by the infected guy trying to get to the examining room. I am about to give up on this game. I have no control and just keep walking into walls. Any hints or even a cheat so I can skip this part - it sucks!
I figured it out so i'll answer my own question. I turned the "post effects" to "off" in the options menu and then was able to easily find the way. This section is IMPOSSIBLE with the post effects on, at least on my system.
I actually liked that part. Fighting for conciousness while surrounded by enemies. I never saw anything like that in other games. I didn't think it was impossible
I think that if you have the "post effects" turned on in the options, then you can't take two steps without stumbling into a wall and everything is so blurry that you can't possibly find your way. I find that to be a bug in the game. With the "post effects" turned off, the puzzle was still hard, but not impossible.
I really didn't have much trouble gettin to the Examination room with post effects turned on. You just need to adapt your movements and try to keep your view straight. It's not really difficult.
Are you talking about the room where you have to get this crystal thingy? ^^

I believe he meant Clarence' struggle towards the end.

thats my favorite part! well you know what im thinking monkey im taking you with me
That's the fun of it - struggling against seemingly insurmountable odds before finally triumphing over them. I staggered my way - battered, broken, and chewing on painkillers - to the exam room through the haze ... twice.

Good job taking the coward's way out.
