Also, what's /b/ and what's the AMFP thread?
Rules 1 & 2 of the internet prevent me (and any respectable user) from answering your first question - please google "rules of the internet" for more information.

AMFP is the acronym for "A Machine For Pigs" - this is the up and coming collaboration between Frictional Games and The Chinese Room (creators of such iconic titles as "Dear Esther"). It's gonna be spooks.
Rule 25 is pretty true all over here...
/b/ is the Random section of 4chan (which is an infamous image board) and the reason you "do not talk about /b/" is because it is one of the most depraved places on the internet. Can be funny but it is seriously fucked up.

EDIT: Actually it seems to be quite tame now. All I see are memes and porn. Used to be there was a whole bunch of lemontwist/goatse/paedophilia on there.

P.S. If you don't know what any of those are please don't Google them. Trust me.
Is /b/ like... The neighborhood the Bloodz don't even dare to venture? I don't go on 4chan because I honestly can't find the interest.
(11-01-2012, 08:59 PM)TheBlastPassage Wrote: [ -> ]I was wondering how you can tell that a copy of Amnesia: The Dark Descent is pirated from the HPL.log file. I have once seen Jens close a thread for pirate maintnance after somebody gave the HPL.log file. I am just wondering what you look for to tell.
Obviously this should stay a secret since otherwise pirates remove the signature and can't be identified anymore. Smile
If they ask for help, we're going to figure it out anyways =\ The best thing they can do?
1) Don't ask for help
2) Buy the game
The log is not just something that appears out of nowhere. Jens had to program every condition so if anybody could see whether there's something strange going on it's him.
Precisely. No one knows a work of art like it's creator. I'm just giving example that anyone ELSE can follow just in case, as I have not discovered Jen's secret ways of the hpl.log yet.
